Manufactured in Germany to stringent engineering standards, the incredibly elegant Vertico garage door provides numerous benefits to you and your garage, inside and out. A significant advantage is the very little encroachment of internal vehicle driving area and, with the horizontal track running arrangement, driveways are kept clear to enable maximum parking area outside of the garage.

Each Vertico garage door is made precisely to measure for every opening, and it will be fitted to maximise the available width and height for convenience when entering or exiting your garage.

Electric Operation

The Vertico garage door comes as standard with radio remote control, motor drive and electronic hindrance stop. Two programmable door opening positions enable the user to have the choice of either car access or a narrower pedestrian access at the simple push of a button. The electric motor guide channel is integrated elegantly into the wall guide channel not down the centre of the garage like traditional motor drives keeping the centre of the garage free of tracking.

The Vertico has been specifically designed as a remote control door system as standard with emphasis on solving all previous shortfalls in other round the corner garage door systems.

A Practical Door Type

Unlike older timber round the corner systems, the Vertico does not have channel guides cut below floor level, but offers a surface-mounted, raised-ground rail which also acts as a weather bar - not a pebble or dirt trap! The components have been designed as one complete system, ensuring a precise operation at all times. Some people worry about losing a wall in their garage but you can either create a false wall and shelving system whilst the door travels behind this wall, or you could allow the requirements of this door's use of the wall to keep your garage neat and organised!

Up until recently, the only garage door systems sliding round the corner were constructed from timber panels that were installed together on-site, with a choice of hardware from companies such as Hillaldam Coburn, Henderson or Ellard. Although this method can still be used today, it is very time consuming to manufacture and install, expensive to construct and does not offer particularly good sealing properties. The automation of such a system is also very difficult to certify to the latest safety standards - whilst also being very expensive.

The Vertico garage door can be specified to open in either direction and if there is not sufficient side room, a false panel section can be inserted. For very large openings, bi-parting doors are possible in even or uneven widths.

Colour Finishes

The SWS Vertico offers exceptionally high quality powder coating finish, inside and out, for a long lasting low maintenance garage door system.

Available in 10 standard colours, the Vertico can also be finished in a further 36 Renolit woodgrain finish colours at an extra charge.

The Renolit woodgrain finishes are very tough and carry a 10 year gurantee to back this up. Beautiful woodgrain effects such as Light Oak, Dark Oak, Natural Oak, Rosewood, Oregon Pine and many others are also available to ensure the best coordination with your home.

Vertico Construction & Operation

The Vertico is manufactured with high quality, insulated aluminium slats.

The top track is fixed to the back of the lintel or the ceiling, dependiant upon the headroom available. The bottom track can be lowered into the floor for a lower threshold if required but as standard does perform a very good weather barrier.

Of course, the Vertico is made according to the new EU standards.
